WHAT IS FREEZE BRANDING?
Freeze Branding is a technique in which the pigment in the hair follicle of an animal is removed through the use of super cooling.
Freeze Branding is used to mark stock with an individual 'tattoo' to allow easy identification. This tattoo can be any combination of a farm brand/symbol, letters or numbers.
WHY FREEZE BRAND YOUR STOCK?
PROOF OF OWNERSHIP
Freeze Branding allows identification of stock using a 'farm brand' which shows ownership of livestock.

Visible marking lowers the risk of stock theft due to visible proof of ownership.

Once a freeze brand develops it is easy to read. Our brands are visible from a considerable distance, making identification in the paddock easy.

Freeze Branding is shown to be less painful for animals than traditional branding using heat.

As a Freeze Brand removes pigmentation from the hair follicle, the brand lasts a life time and does not need to be redone. Unlike traditional tags or NLIS buttons which can be removed/torn out, and often need to be replaced at a cost.
